The June sailing day at Albert Park Lake arrived with low temperatures, low clouds and high winds.
Most people were sensible and left their boats at home, except for one rower who wanted to test some modifications and see if his boat could be managed in the winds. The answer was “Sort of, but it’s a lot slower rowing into a strong wind”.
Chris, Penny, Graham, Leigh and Stephen watched Jim’s rowing, both against the wind and with it. Micah and Fab dropped in to see who else was silly enough to turn up on such a day.
We spent most of the day sitting in the Albert Park Yacht Club’s rooms watching the racing sailors in the Albert Sailing Club regatta compete to see who could capsize the most times.
