OK, we now have the "easing out of lockdown restrictions" so how many of you have / did (as this will be read after 11.59pm Sunday) pack the car, van, boat to head to regional areas and enjoy our freedom?
There are still things we can't do but your committee is working around these as much as possible. Keep watch on our activity calendar with a Werribee River trip arranged for 22 November, with a run up the river in the morning and back to the launch ramp for a byo lunch at low tide. More details on the website.
Only 2 people per boat and maintain social distancing. Hope to catch up then.
Our Zoom club night was held on the 21 October with 14 attendees who were entertained by Bob Morgan's presentation of 1950's boat plans and a discussion on the adventure of Captain Wally Pankhurst who piloted a 16' boat, powered by a 2.5 hp Chapman Pup from Sydney to Thursday Island in 1963, taking 5 months and 10 days with 72 stops!
See you soon.
Chris.
