This sailing canoe was called This way up and keep dry for the obvious reasons. It is a minimalist sailing canoe inspired by the many similar craft that were built during the canoeing boom in the 1860s when people used them to explore the rivers and lakes of Europe and North America.
Our yellow sailing canoe is 3.7m long by 0.75m wide and is light enough for one person to carry. It was made from marine plywood and carries a small lug sail in addition to a paddle.
