With a length of 4.6m and width of 0.51m, this white kayak was built to test the design for stability and handling before committing to the cost of the materials for a folding kayak. The prototype has wood frame with a polyester skin, and its working name is Wrinkly. You can see why in the photograph.
The final version was longer at 5.3m and wider at 0.56m, has an aluminium frame that can be dismantled, a PVC skin that can be rolled up, and everything packed into two bags.
