Our annual weekend away offers several days of smooth sailing and socialiing in the friendly waters.around Paynesville.  Take a break from home and come down when you can, maybe make it a long weekend.

More details of the social and on-water activities will be emailed to members closer to the time but if you plan to attend, you are advised to book accommodation soon.  Paynesville has lots of accommodation, we usually stay at Allawah Caravan and Boat Park  (https://www.allawahpark.com/)  which has its own launching ramp and some moorings available.  

Visit the Victorian Wooden Boat Centre, Docklands, and take a closer look at the boats under construction in the workshop.  Nick Atkins will show us around, talk about the various projects underway and demonstrate some of the technologies that make boat-building easier than ever before.  The BBQ will be fired up too!

Bring you own boat or book a spot in another member's boat for a leisurely trip up the Yarra River to Herring Island for a BYO picnic.   We will leave from the Warmies in Williamstown, raft up when we get to the island and enjoy the sculptures and a walk around the island. More details to come.
